Jean Dominique entèvyouve André Lemercier Georges, ki se ekonomis, epi Christian Goguère, ki se achitèk, sou sektè touris nan peyi d Ayiti, tankou pwojè ki sou pye pou devlope touris Kòt Akaden (pa egzanp Club Med) ak zòn touristik Royal Caribbean nan Labadi. Yo dekri endistri otèl Ayiti a, koman touris ka ede lòt endistri nasyonal devlope, nesesite envestisman etranje, epi koman esteryotip negatif ak mank enfrastrikti ka anpeche potansyalite sektè touris Ayiti a dekole. Okap sanble yon kote trè lojik pou lanse yon pwojè touris, paske gen anpil sit istorik ki enpòtan nan zòn nan -- poukisa, Dominique mande, yo pa mete Okap an priyorite pou devlope yon endistri touris?
Jean Dominique interviews economist André Lemercier Georges and architect Christian Goguère about the tourism sector in Haiti, including projects in Côte-des-Arcadins (such as Club Med) and the Royal Caribbean resort in Labadee. They describe the Haitian hotel industry, how tourism can help develop other national industries, the need for foreign investment, and how negative stereotypes about Haiti and lack of infrastructure diminish Haiti's tourism potential. Cap-Haïtien appears to be a logical place for tourism, because of its important historical sites -- why, asks Dominique, is that not a priority for the development of a tourism industry?
