Date:
1929 to 1930
Description:
Single-page open letter from the Voters' League of Jefferson County, concerning an act to eradicate cedar trees in protection of apple orchards from rust, and advocating its repeal: "When the law came to be enforced on the indignant farmers' homes, the apple people provided experts who greatly exaggerated the damage to orchards by rust, and the courts upheld the law that ignores every constitutional right of American landowners." Signed S. K. Dandridge, Secretary of the Committee of the Voter's League.
