- Description:
-
Jean Dominique reponn a manti ak menas lanmò "Radyo Zenglendo" ap voye sou li -- "Radyo Zenglendo" se non Dominique te bay Radyo Libète, stasyon divalyeris Serge Beaulieu te fonde a. Beaulieu, yon ideyològ makoutis ak ansyen espyon rejim Duvalier a, te sèvi ak pawòl nwaris pou divize sosyete ayisyen an.
Jean Dominique addresses false accusations and death threats against him by "Radio Zenglendo" - his name for Radio Liberté, the station founded by longtime Duvalierist Serge Beaulieu. Beaulieu, a Macoutist ideologue and former spy of the Duvalier regime, used noiriste rhetoric to further divide Haitian society. In 1990, Beaulieu called for the murder of Jean Dominique, using the death of Colonel Paul Rosny Casimir as justification. Duvalierists used the death of Casimir as a political symbol, while pro-democracy activists rallied after the assassinations of Serge Villard, Jean-Marie Montès, and Lafontant Joseph.
