Single-sided circular from New Orleans Auxiliary Sanitary Association, dated Jan. 1, 1882, apparently accompanying a report (not included) on drainage system of New Orleans and health aspects. "The present condition of the drainage canals has been denounced by the Board of Health and the medical profession as a menace to public health. Their immediate and thorough cleansing ... demands the earnest consideration of every enlightened citizen."
