Caricature of Daniel Wilson (1840-1919) as a fly licking his lips and taking a medal from a box of papers. Wilson was the son-in-law of Jules Grévy, President of France (1879-1887). Prior to the Dreyfus Affair, Wilson was accused of using his position to traffick in the awards of the Legion of Honour, which prompted President Grévy's resignation in 1887. Hand colored.
