(00:00:00) Peyizan ki soti nan Lenbe/Kankòk eksprime enkyetid sou konpayi etranje ki pral eksplwate min lò nan zòn nan. Yo enkyete paske se blan k ap pwofite epi peyizan yo p ap jwenn anyen, epi paske pwosesis eksplwatasyon an pral lage yon pwazon ki rele syanid. Yo ta renmen fè yon tab wonn avèk konpayi a. (00:04:38) Yon dam ki soti andeyò Miragwàn dekri tout movè zefè eksplwatasyon min bòksit konpayi Reynolds te fè nan zòn nan. Tè a fin ravaje nèt akòz eskplwatasyon bòksit la, ki fè peyizan yo pa ka plante kafe ankò, epi kafe te youn nan pi gwo rekòt pou yo. (00:06:15) Peyizan ki soti nan Lenbe/Kankòk eksprime enkyetid epi revandikasyon yo sou eksplwatasyon lò nan zòn nan. Yo ta renmen pou konpayi a peye peyizan yo domajman si yo pral sezi tè peyizan epi kraze kay peyizan, pou konpayi a kreye djòb pou peyizan yo, epi pou konpayi a mete dispansè ak lòt enfrastrikti pou travayè yo.
(00:00:00) Peasant farmers from Limbé/Camp Coq express their concerns about foreign companies exploiting gold mines in the region. They are concerned that foreigners will profit while the poor people from the area get nothing, and that the mining will introduce cyanide into the environment. They would like to participate in the roundtable with the company. (00:04:38) A woman from the rural area around Miragoâne describes the harmful effects of bauxite mining by the Reynolds company. Bauxite mining destroyed the land and made it impossible for farmers to plant coffee, which had been a major crop in the region. (00:06:15) Peasant farmers from Limbé/Camp Coq voice their concerns and demands about gold mining. They would like for the company to pay damages to the farmers whose land and homes will be destroyed, to create jobs for the peasant farmers in the area, and set up clinics and other infrastructure for the workers.
