Pour commémorer le premier anniversaire du référendum constitutionnel de 1987, Jean Dominique rencontre Roger Dorsinville et Jean-Jacques Honorat, sur la constitution et l’armée. Ils parlent de l’évolution de l’armée, depuis l’armée indigène de Toussaint Louverture, en passant par les Forces armées d’Haïti crées par la force d’occupation américaine, jusqu’à nos jours. Ils parlent de l’idéologie et de la discipline militaire, de la division entre militaires et civils dans la société, des violations des droits humains perpétrées par l’armée et du rôle des chefs de section.
To commemorate the first anniversary of the 1987 constitutional referendum, Jean Dominique interviews Roger Dorsinville and Jean-Jacques Honorat about the Constitution and army. They discuss the army's evolution, from the armée indigène of Toussaint Louverture to the Forces Armées d'Haïti created during the US occupation to the present day. Among other topics, they discuss army ideology and discipline, divisions between the military and civilians, human rights abuses by the army, and the role of the chef de section.
