Yo di koudeta sa a fèt an favè demokrasi ak dwa moun. Yo vle pou Romain rete an Ayiti pou li ka jije.
On Radio Soleil's news magazine "117", soldiers describe the events of the 20 June 1988 coup d'état in which Henri Namphy overthrew Leslie Manigat, and the September 17, 1988 coup d'état in which Prosper Avril overthrew Namphy. The soldiers who overthrew Namphy said his was because Macoutes such as Franck Romain were returning to power. The 11 September 1988 St. Jean Bosco massacre was a precipitating event for the coup, and this coup d'état is for the sake of democracy and human rights. They want Romain to remain in Haiti and be judged.
