  • Trois éducateurs (Evans Dady Lescouflair, Frantz Grandoit et Roody Edmé) se penchent sur les problèmes auxquels fait face la jeunesse haïtienne. Les jeunes manquent d'opportunités pour s'exprimer dans la société, comme par exemple au travers de l'art, de la musique ou de la radio. Ils décrivent les vies des jeunes des villes ainsi que les obstacles qui poussent ceux des campagnes à s'expatrier en ville. Les jeunes ne sont plus aussi respectueux qu'avant parce que les circonstances de leurs vies les forcent à grandir trop vite, avant qu'ils ne soient arrivés à maturité. Parce que le devoir de mémoire est inexistant, les jeunes ne connaissent pas leur histoire et peuvent ressentir de la nostalgie pour la dictature de Duvalier. Michèle Montas modère le débat.

  • Three educators -- Evans Dady Lescouflair, Frantz Grandoit, and Roody Edmé -- discuss the problems facing Haiti's youth. Young people lack opportunities to express themselves in society -- for example, through arts, music, and radio. They discuss the lives of young people living in cities and the particular limitations facing young people in the rural countryside, which forces them to leave their home communities for the cities. Young people are less respectful than they used to be, because the circumstances of their lives force them to grow up before they are ready, before they are mature. Because collective memory work is lacking, young people do not know their history and may have nostalgia for the Duvalier dictatorship. Michèle Montas moderates.
