Karikatiris franse Jean Plantureux, ki gen non atis Plantu, pale avèk Jean Dominique sou vizit li ann Ayiti. Plantu di li ann Ayiti pou l aprann. Li pa gen lòt ideyoloji pase libète ekspresyon, epi li dekri wòl karikatiris politik kòm pwovokatè. Sepandan, kontrèman ak omològ li yo nan Charlie Hebdo pa egzanp, Plantu pi modere; li di si li fè yon imaj vyolan chak jou, imaj vyolan yo p ap gen menm pwa ankò. Malgre ti pouvwa li ka genyen pou enfliyanse konvèsasyon politik la, Plantu aksepte ke pi fò travay l ap fè pa itil anyen. Plantu dekri rankont li avèk karikatiris ak atis ki fè imè ann Ayiti; li konpare yo avèk atis ki fè penti "nayiv" yo (men Dominique pa fin dakò avèk konparezon an). Li pi difisil fè karikati fanm politik, paske Plantu pa vle rann medam yo gwotèsk.
French cartoonist Jean Plantureux, known as Plantu, discusses with Jean Dominique his visit to Haiti. Plantu says that he is in Haiti to learn. He has no ideology beyond freedom of expression, and he describes the role of political cartoonist as provocateur. However, unlike his counterparts at Charlie Hebdo, for example, Plantu is relatively moderate; if he draws a violent cartoon every day, violent images will no longer be meaningful. Despite whatever power he might wield to influence discourse, Plantu accepts that most of his work is futile. Plantu describes his encounters with Haitian cartoonists and humorists, comparing Haiti's grassroots humorists with the "naïve" painters (a comparison with which Dominique is not entirely in agreement). It is harder to create caricatures of political women, as Plantu does not want to render women grotesque.
