  • Jean Dominique interviews one López (possibly Julio López Campos, one of the Sandinista leaders) via telephone about the fall of dictator Anastasio Somoza Debayle and the triumph of the Junta de Gobierno de Reconstrucción Nacional in Nicaragua. Somoza and his successor, Francisco Urcuyo Maliaños (who was president for only one day) went into exile, and the Sandinista-controlled junta took control of the country.
