About the Digital Collection
Personal and business letters relating chiefly to the Civil War, teaching, college life, and financial hardships during Reconstruction. Included also are a report card of James Parker, of the Oxford (N.C.) High School, giving a description of the courses offered; and four letters from relatives and friends in Texas and Missouri.
