Party-tyranny or, An occasional bill in miniature, as now practiced in Carolina.

This is the title page of a book by Daniel Defoe (1661?-1731). The complete title would be: "Party-tyranny; or, An occasional bill in miniature : being an abridgement of the Shortest way with the Dissenters, As now practiced in Carolina, Humbly offered to the consideration of both Houses of Parliament". Defoe wrote a treatise on behalf of the dissenters for presentation primarily to the House of Commons. Defoe identified "Party-tyranny" with " High-Church-tyranny", and asked the House of Commons to defend the English subjects from all manner of Invasions of their Liberty. Printed in London in 1705.
