Les jeunes de Petit-Goâve demandent la libération de plusieurs personnes, dont Sergo Joseph, et ils dénoncent l’expulsion d’un prêtre canadien, René Poirier, 1988-08-16 (00:06:59) Durant un festival à Gelée, aux Cayes, il y a eu un incident violent entre un homme ivre, armé d’une machette, et un militaire. Reportage de Jacques Price, 1988-08-16 (00:09:01) Arrestation de sept paysans à Hinche. Me Jean Claude Nord et Me Joseph Maxi défendent les paysans. Le tribunal doit les entendre le 16 septembre, 1988-09-05 (00:13:20) Les jeunes de Saint-Jean Bosco ont participé à une messe, en solidarité avec le père Aristide et le père Nau. (00:00:00) On August 15, the feast day for the Assumption of Mary, Monsignor Guire Poulard addressed the population of Petit-Goâve. Young people of Petit-Goâve are calling for the release of several people who were arrested, including Sergo Joseph, and they denounce the expulsion of Canadian priest René Poirier, 1988-08-16 (00:06:59) During a festival in Gélée, Les Cayes, a violent altercation took place between a drunk man with a machete and the army. Jacques Price reports, 1988-08-16 (00:09:01) In Hinche, seven peasants were arrested. Lawyers Jean-Claude Nord and Joseph Maxi are defending them. The court will hear them on 16 September, 1988-09-05 (00:13:20) Young people at Saint Jean Bosco church participated in a mass in solidarity with Father Aristide and Father Julio Nau. Father Nau was ordered to be transferred. They witnessed a violent attack on the church, in which it was pelted with rocks. No Church authorities have come to visit Saint Jean Bosco. (00:15:52) On the occasion of World Literacy Day, Father Frantz Grandoît of Mission Alpha discusses the importance of literacy as a tool for liberation.
