Nan okazyon 40yèm anivèsè kreyasyon Bank Entè-Ameriken pou Devlòpman (BID) la, Philippe Dewez, ki se reprezantan BID la ann Ayiti, pale sou pwojè Bank lan ann Ayiti. Li dekri an patikilye pwojè wout Pon Sonde-Mibalè, kolaborasyon avèk enstitisyon leta ayisyen (sitou UCG ak FAES), refòm agrè, ak desantralizasyon. Pwojè sa yo pral kontinye pou le moman, malgre anpil enstans entènasyonal ap bloke èd pou Ayiti akòz kriz politik ki poko rezoud la -- men lavni èd entènasyonal ann Ayiti rete toujou yon kesyon ouvèt. Dominique poze Dewez kesyon sou rapò BID la avèk gouvènman Etazini, epi sou kisa ki fè BID la diferan pase lòt enstitisyon miltilateral. Nan fen emisyon an, Dewez di oditè yo ki sa li pral sonje lè li kite Ayiti, kòm manda li pral fini byento. Philippe Dewez te mouri nan tranblemantè 12 janvye 2010 nan Pòtoprens.
On the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the founding of the Inter-American Development Bank, Philippe Dewez, the IADB's representative in Haiti, discusses the Bank's projects in Haiti. He describes in particular plans to build a road connecting Pont Sondé to Mirebalais, collaborations with Haitian state institutions (especially the UCG and the FAES), agrarian reform, and decentralization. These projects are continuing for the moment despite the withholding of aid by many international donors, which is a reaction to the unresolved political crisis in Haiti, but the fate of foreign aid in the long term remains uncertain. Dominique asks about the relationship between the IADB and the US government, and about what differentiates the IADB from other multilateral institutions. Finally, Dewez shares what he will miss most about Haiti when he leaves, now that his term is nearly over. Philippe Dewez died in the 12 January 2010 earthquake in Port-au-Prince.
