Jean-Robert Delciné, a journalist with Radio Haiti, was beaten by police inspector Yrvens César and commissioner Marcellus Camy while investigating the killing of a sixteen-year-old boy by police in Cité Soleil. According to Delciné, the police killed the teenager in the place of his brother, a supposed "zenglendo" for whom they were searching. When Delciné identified himself as a journalist for Radio Haiti, César replied, "Jean Dominique's people? You're done for." They threatened his life, and confiscated his recording device and tapes. A witness from Cité Soleil describes the events from his perspective.
