Special program commemorating the violent events of November 1987, one year later. It traces the aftermath of the CEP's rejection of Duvalierist presidential candidates on November 2, 1987, which set off a month-long series of arson and shootings throughout Port-au-Prince and the provinces. Party headquarters and the homes of political opponents were burned and attacked; the Marché Salomon was burned down; several radio stations were attacked. The violence culminated in the Macoute army's massacre of voters on November 29, after which the elections were officially cancelled. Speakers include Marc Antoine Noël of the CEP; Sylvio Claude of PDCH; Jean-Bertrand Aristide, who foresaw the massacre on November 7; Duvalierist candidate Alphonse Lahens threatening violencing in Les Cayes; Charles Arnold of the CEP describing how Lahens and Claude Raymond summoned members of the CEP to court; Archbishop Willy Romélus of Jérémie; a representative of Radio Lumière describing the attack on their transmitter; people describing the formation of vigilance brigades to provide their communities with security; Carlo Dupiton of the CEP cancelling elections in various places in the provinces because ballots could not arrive; and Jean-Robert Sabalat of the BED de l'Ouest cancelling the elections after the massacre of voters at Ruelle Vaillant.
