Delva ak Pierre dekri kalite menas ak vyolans jounalis ap sibi nan men kèk sektè politik ak òganizasyon popilè, an patikilye asasina Brignol Lindor nan men Dòmi nan Bwa. Pierre Emmanuel kritike avèk anpil konviksyon jan otorite leta yo ap trete dosye asasina Jean Dominique, epi Dupuy defann sa leta ap fè. Nan fen emisyon an, yo pale sou nouvèl lwa leta pral soti sou laprès. Dupuy defann nesesite lwa sa a.
Mario Dupuy (Secretary of State for Communications), Guy Delva (AJH), and Gotson Pierre (Groupe Médialternatif) discuss with Pierre Emmanuel the relationship beween the press and state power: freedom of the press, violence against the press, and the justice system's handling of cases of violence against the press. Dupuy, representing the state, denies that the government is particularly hostile to freedom of expression. The press is indeed the thermometer of society, says Dupuy, but when the press gets involved in political conflicts, it is like heating up the thermometer before you use it. According to Dupuy, journalists should not be "irresponsible." Delva and Pierre describe the threats and violence that journalists face from political factions and popular organizations, citing in particular the assassination of Brignol Lindor at the hands of Dòmi nan Bwa. The lack of justice or investigation -- the climate of impunity -- encourages others to engage in violence against journalists. Pierre Emmanuel strongly criticizes the way state authorities have handled the investigation into the assassination of Jean Dominique, and Dupuy defends the government's actions. Finally, they discuss the government's new law concerning the press. Dupuy defends the necessity of the law.
