  • On the first anniversary of the 1987 constitution, Jean Dominique of Radio Haiti and Webert Lahens of AJH discuss the articles of the constitution that concern freedom of the press. Press freedom is again imperiled, after the Ministry of Information released a communiqué on 8 March 1988 limiting freedom of the press. Freedom of the press is always relative, says Dominique, comparing the present moment to the experience of the press under the Duvalier regime and under the CNG. They discuss, among other topics, journalistic ethics and the penal code's treatment of journalists. Listeners call in. Marvel Dandin hosts.

  • En ce premier anniversaire de la constitution de 1987, Jean Dominique, directeur de Radio Haïti et Webert Lahens, responsable de l’AJH, discutent de la constitution et de la liberté de la presse. La liberté de la presse est encore menacée, après que le Ministère de l’Information ait fait paraitre un communiqué, le 8 Mars 1988, qui met des limites à la liberté de la presse. Cette liberté est toujours relative, selon Dominique, et il compare la situation actuelle à celle que vivait la presse pendant le régime Duvalier et pendant le CNG.
