To the people of Frederick County, mass convention at the courthouse

Broadside calling upon those citizens of Frederick County, Maryland, opposed to "the political heresy of Secession," but in sympathy with "the many grievances of which the South justly complains," to join in a "mass convention at the court house" in order to form "a Union Organization in this County and to take steps for holding a Union Convention at an early day thereafter." The proposed Union Organization would urge Maryland voters to continue to press their "rights and privileges in the Union" in opposition to "the temporary and accidental triumph of the Republican Party in the election of a President."
