Yo pale sou wòl mizik, sitou mizik atis ayisyen nan dyaspora, ki te pemèt jounalis yo pale andaki pandan peryòd diktati Duvalier. Yo pale tou sou rezistans kont Duvalier ak Makout yo, sitou kont Zacharie Delva nan Latibonit. On the occasion of Radio Haiti's 56th anniversary, Jean Dominique speaks with Michèle Montas about the station's history. He speaks of what he learned from Vodou leaders, how the Vodou religion and Vodou music have served as a method of resistance for the Haitian people throughout the country's history, and how Vodou music and culture became central to Radio Haiti's identity. They also speak of the role of music, particularly by Haitian artists in the diaspora, in allowing them to "pale andaki" (to say things that could not be said directly) during the years of the Duvalier dictatorship. They revisit Radio Haiti's reporting on the kidnapping of US ambassador Clinton Knox in 1973, particularly when Jean Dominique was taken before Luc Désir for having reported on Knox's drunkenness. They discuss popular resistance to Duvalierism and the Macoutes, particularly to Zacharie Delva in the Artibonite. The broadcast ends with Jean Dominique's tribute to Michèle Montas, in which he describes what she represents to him personally, to the station, and to their battle.
